Full Job Description

The Advanced Sourcing Engineer will be responsible to drive the implementation of the sourcing strategies in a cross-functional product development projects and deliver in commitments (time and budget) and support cost down initiative related the Product Division.

You will be the Business Partner of the Product Division for all related sourcing areas and will serve as the key bridge between the engineering and sourcing functions. You'll have an opportunity to be part of a successful multicultural team working in a highly innovative, cross-functional, industrial environment.

What you will do:

  • Proactively evaluate opportunities during the first phases of the projects (R&D innovation, concept, Make Or Buy ).

  • Define and manage work breakdown package for sourcing

  • Ensure timely completion of sourcing deliverables and objectives

  • Perform NPI material cost analysis and set project benchmark targets

  • Ensure sourcing standard are followed and implemented during project.

  • Support and coordinate cost down initiatives (VAVE, component engineering)

  • Coordinate Product Division productivity plan with the Sourcing team.

  • Lead Product Division supply risk identification and mitigation plan for reduction of risk

  • Contribute to the success of projects by positioning sourcing as a key function during decisions.

  • Propose innovative solutions, based of a good understanding of the supplier market, able to bring added value on products, processes.

  • Member in applicable project or Product Division cross-functional team(s)

    Technical engineer. Master in Purchasing will be a plus.

  • 5 to 7 years + as project sourcing engineer in industrial and international environment

  • Experience in implementing sourcing strategy along New Product Introduction or innovation projects, and VAVE type of cost down initiatives.

  • Results driven.

  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Project management certified is an advantage

  • Availability to travel on a regular basis.

  • Fluent in English
