Full Job Description

The MASH Higher Clerical Assistant role within the Service plays a crucial part in supporting the Multi Agency Safeguarding Team (MASH), which serves as the first point of contact in safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. This role involves handling high volumes of calls and inputting data accurately and efficiently.,

  • Handle high volumes of calls related to safeguarding and wellbeing concerns.

  • Input data accurately and efficiently into databases for client record management.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Work to deadlines and maintain agreed standards of work.

  • Adapt to changing priorities and work flexibly as required.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.

    We are seeking candidates with experience in high volume call handling and data inputting. A positive and customer-focused attitude is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of attention to detail and possess clear communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and database management is required, as well as the ability to process information accurately and in a timely manner.


  • Given the time-sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be able to work to deadlines. The ability to multitask under pressure, maintain agreed standards, and adapt to changing priorities is crucial. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.,
  • Previous experience in high volume call handling and data inputting.

  • Positive and customer-focused attitude.

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and database management.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
