Full Job Description

We're recruiting for an Actuarial Analyst to join our Financial Risk Team. We're offering a competitive base salary, great benefits and full actuarial study support (including rotations).

You will have the opportunity to get involved with varied and interesting work such as stress and scenario tests (SSTs) and the production of valuable MI which is used to manage the ALM (asset-liability management) position of L&Gs Retirement Division (LGR).

This role would be perfect for an aspiring actuary with an inquisitive nature, and a keen eye for detail.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the team with the delivery of various stress and scenario tests used to manage the risks we are exposed to as a division.

  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders including (but not limited to) other teams in LGR Finance, LGR Investments and Group Finance.

  • Ensuring that communication is clear, concise, and tailored to the specific needs of the various stakeholders.

  • Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of the team's reporting systems and processes. Ensuring systems and processes are robust, with any associated risks assessed and appropriately controlled

    An actuarial student

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Life Insurance experience would be advantageous, but is not required

  • An understanding/knowledge of Reporting Metrics such as IFRS17 & SII would be advantageous, but is not required
