Full Job Description

Job Summary: An exciting position has opened within a family owned nationwide business to join the Accounts Receivables team within the finance department. The main responsibilities will be handling internal costings, expenses and queries within the accounts receivables side of the business but will also have exposure to other areas such as the accounts payable and management accounts.

Key job tasks include but not exclusive to:

  • Main contact for all 'charging' related transactions issued to the centres from Head Office.

  • Working closely with the Purchase Ledger department to compile a monthly report, for each centre, of any purchases made that have not been invoiced out to a customer.

  • Issuing said report to each centre so that they are able to give an explanation for each line item identified relating to their centre.

  • Sending unresolved queries to the centres and recording information on spreadsheets for regional managers.

  • Reviewing paperwork and documentation to establish which internal costs to process.

  • Re-allocation of cash received between centres.

  • Ensuring adjustments for 'Price promises' are correctly actioned on a daily basis.

  • Compile wage deduction costings for Human Resources to a strict monthly deadline.

  • Processing 'price differences' into the finance system.

  • Daily communications with the centres via email and phone.

  • Processing adhoc journals into the finance system.


  • Other Job Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with tasks for the rest of the accounts receivable team including but not limited too: chasing debt, sending payment request letters, investigating missing sales invoice payments and discrepancies for each centre.

  • Will be part of the phone rota for reception calls.

    Experience of Excel.

  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.


  • The Candidate:

    The suitable candidate should have Excel knowledge and good communication skills.

    They will need to be of confident nature and not afraid to share new ideas to improve efficiency within the roles.

    They will need to have a strong work ethic with an aptitude for development. We require this candidate to assist and support other members of the team to meet weekly/monthly deadlines.

    They will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload.

    The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own.

    Holiday: 22 days per year, plus statutory holidays rising by 1 day per year after 2.5 years of continuous service to a maximum of 26.,
