Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship (level 2)

Working within a small and friendly accounts team, you will support the following tasks among others:

• Processing invoices/proformas for the sales ledger.


• Entering receipts and expenses into accounting software for the purchase ledger.


• Reconciling bank transactions., As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from experienced professionals in this sector. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks and duties while receiving on-the-job training and educational support. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to start their career in the field of accountancy and gain valuable skills.

• Ability to drive to workplace, Maths GCSE or equivalent: 4/C or above

Training

• Training takes place once per week at Grantham College, Stonebridge Rd, Grantham, NG31 9AP.


• If you don't already have 4/C at GCSE (or equivalent), you will need to take classes of 1 hr each per week alongside your apprenticeship and sit these exams during the apprenticeship. There is no cost to you for this.


• Successful completion of the apprenticeship will award you with the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and the Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship standard., Please note that this is an entry-level position, and no prior experience is required. If you are a good fit for the team and succeed at level 2, there may be the option to continue your apprenticeship to the next level with us/gain a full-time role.
  
  Goldholme Stone, based in Corby Glen, is looking for an apprentice to complete the level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship with their support.

Our forte is working closely with project managers, brick distributors, building merchants and architects to provide a reliable source of Building Stone and Stone Masonry for housing developments and corporate building projects across the whole of the country.

Training takes place on a weekly basis at Grantham College (NG31 9AP). Please be aware that the main role is based in a remote rural location so you will need your own transport to travel there. Please ensure you can travel to us before applying.
