Full Job Description

· Assisting with the purchase ledger adding all invoices and checking the values are correct and chasing associates for their monthly invoices and Service Report (knowledge of this is not essential)

· Providing support with the sales ledger and raising sales invoices checking what amounts need to be invoiced each month

· Conducting bank reconciliations.

· Preparing information for VAT returns and maintaining accounts emails.

· Setting up customer and supplier accounts and doing relevant checks on Companies House and VAT Checks. Completing onboarding forms for Customers and sending any information they require to get us onboarded onto their system.

· Setting up contracts and costings in the absence of the Finance Manager (Knowledge not essential but needs to be good at Administration)

· Payroll an advantage and in the absence of the Finance Manager (Not essential but preferable)

· Preparing and adding bulk payments to the bank for the Sales Ledger and Payroll

· Assisting with general administration tasks - various different things throughout the year and any other ad hoc duties that may be required

1. You will ideally have previous experience within a similar role and be comfortable using Xero or similar, MS Excel and other MS Office product.

2. Proven background in an office-based accounts role although you will primarily be home based.

3. Ability to work on your own, take the initiative and self-discipline is key - You will be part of a small team, split across the country.

4. Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for accuracy is a must.

This will be on a part-time basis working 12 to 16 hours a week over three or four days with the potential to increase as the business grows.

We are semi flexible on how these hours are worked but will need to fit them in between 8.30 to 3.00 initially, after training the hours can be worked between 9.00 to 5.00.

This is a remote role, with most meetings taking place via Teams. However, you will need to travel occasionally split between Taunton and London.
