The role of Accounts Assistant is a varied and interesting opportunity covering elements of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Nominal Ledger. Working as an Accounts Assistant, you will assist in the day to day workings of the Dealerships Accounts department., The role of Accounts Assistant is a varied and interesting opportunity covering elements of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Nominal Ledger. Working as an Accounts Assistant, you will assist in the day to day workings of the Dealerships Accounts department.

The duties of the role include:

  • Posting and allocating the daily cash book, monitoring and managing daily finance clearance of vehicles


  • Chasing debt


  • Processing payments


  • Invoice processing


  • Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with Supplier Queries


  • Bank reconciliations


  • Preparing ledgers for month end close-down


  • Month end financial reporting

    Experience gained within an accounts department in General accounts, Purchase and Sales Ledger


    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

    The ability to meet strict deadlines

    Strong Microsoft Excel skills

    A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

    AAT or other accounting qualifications and a working knowledge of Kerridge would be desirable but not essential.
