Full Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Accounting Assistant to become an integral part of our team as we continue to scale and grow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-growth company while collaborating with a great team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will engage with customers and suppliers, responding to inquiries and building strong relationships. You will manage and process supplier invoices promptly and accurately, generate insightful sales reports for key suppliers, and code expense transactions with precision. Additionally, you will maintain financial accuracy through regular bank reconciliations, manage debt by tactfully chasing outstanding payments, and support the finance team with various ad-hoc requests to contribute to our collective success.

We are looking for you if you are a meticulous and efficient accounts assistant with a knack for identifying smarter, faster ways to complete tasks. You should be proficient in accounting software and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial records. Whether you're an experienced accounting professional or someone with a solid understanding of financial systems, your ability to optimise processes and contribute to a collaborative team environment is key. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to their work, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in all accounting functions.

Must have

  • Existing accounting knowledge

  • Experience using Xero or other accounting software


  • Good to have
  • Accounting/bookkeeping certification (or working towards)
