Full Job Description

o Provision of 3 rd -line support for incidents across a wide range of clients.
o Support across a wide range of infrastructure including Windows Server (hosted and on-prem), Azure & O365, Virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V), Storage, Networking (inc VLAN, VNP, Firewalls, Routing & Switching) & Security (Email, Antivirus, Backups' etc.)
o System maintenance and administering of technologies.
o Provide a point of technical escalation for 1 st & 2 nd line teams.
o Where required, work with the broader team to deliver remote customer projects.

o A proven background providing 3rd line support, ideally working for an IT Services business.
o Experience supporting, administering and supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Teams, Azure and SharePoint.
o Have experience supporting infrastructure within most of the following, ideally for another MSP business;

  • Virtulization (Vmware/Hyper-V).

  • Storage and Server hardware.

  • Security (Email, Antivirus & Backups').

  • Networking (Firewalls, Switches/Routers, backups, hardware.

    This vacancy is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Engineer (3 rd Line) to join a leading IT Managed Services Provider in Sittingbourne (Kent).


  • This position has arisen due to internal growth and increased demand for our client's services to both public & private sector businesses. You will be working with other service engineers in the Platforms, Infrastructure and Internet Services Teams providing 3 rd line support across Cloud, Infrastructure & End-user systems.

    Due to the nature of the industry, our client operates a 24 x 7 service support model. This role will be permanently on a night shift basis. You will be working 8pm-8am, Mon-Thurs.

    Salary - £38,000 to £45,000 p.a. base salary (DOE) - Due to the nature of the shift pattern, the total remuneration has been uplifted to reflect this.

    This opportunity is office-based due to the nature of support. You must be able to utilise your own means of transport to the location of the offices, as public transport will not be available for all of the required shift patterns. There is a lot of progression & learning with this business, giving you exposure to leading technology stacks & a structured progression plan.
