1st Line IT Support Engineer for Computer Shop & IT Services Business

· You will be responsible for daily opening and closing of the shop and to make sure that shop is kept clean, tidy and in good condition.

· Serving shop customers, performing computer & laptop repairs at workshop, resolving computer & network problems, setting up new equipment.

· To provide helpdesk support to clients, assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, email, remote access, and onsite visits.

· Answering calls and logging issues accurately via our helpdesk system and providing suitable solutions to problems quickly and efficiently.

· Proactively supporting and maintaining our client's server and desktop infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS:

AVAILABILITY: Flexibility to work on Saturdays when needed.

PERSONALITY: Punctual, reliable, honest, hardworking, clean, tidy, and organized person with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION: Computing Degree preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS: A+, Network+ certified.

SKILLS: Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Workstation and Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, DHCP, DNS, VPN, routers, internet setup, emails setup, wireless setup, printer setup, Knowledge of backup and protection software products.

Basic understanding of Apple Mac, Apple, and Android mobile devices.

Some understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and content management systems such as WordPress.

If you have full UK driving licence, that will be an advantage.

EXPERIENCE: Will prefer someone with some IT support experience in a 1st line role as you will be expected to be up and running, providing basic support to customers as soon as you start working.
