Full Job Description

  • Get a deep understanding on long term Brand NPD projects we are working on.

  • Creating CAD files to speed up projects where I'm reliant on factories creating initial concepts.

  • Research & concepting NPD idea's cross brands. I.e.: Variations and lite projects.

  • Creating cutter guides packaging for print.

  • Creating instructions (from CAD framing).

  • Creating pack inserts.

  • Creating barcodes and carton labels.

  • Helping to plan and attend trade shows. Translations, A+ and listing support.



  • A talented 2nd or 3rd year BA Hons, Bsc or Beng student of Product Design that is going into their placement year.

  • Strong sketching and quick ideation communication.

  • Competent in applications/programmes including Adobe suite (Photoshop, illustrator, in-design) and Microsoft Office.

  • High level of CAD and technical knowledge. Mainly for plastic production. (Solid works or equiv.)

  • Has a passion for consumer product market trends.

  • Open and willing to learn.

  • Positive, with a can-do attitude to work.

  • Good communication of concepts and ideation through good hand drawing skills or sketching software.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak on ideas and respond to questions and feedback from team members at all levels. Basic knowledge in tooling, production methods and materials.

    • The Opportunity

    Due to the diverse nature of Olsam group and its portfolio of products, we are looking for a multi-skilled individual to undertake both Product (CAD) and 2D design solutions from packaging through to Amazon listing creation. This will be a 12-month position starting June 2024. Whilst we have a head office in London, we would offer the position to be based remotely. The successful candidate will be working as part of the Product team, being very hands on, seeing products developed from concept to shelf (Amazon). It's an exciting position, where the candidate will be working on lots of diverse products across all material and processes, and provides an excellent opportunity to learn from our Product Development team's expertise.
