Apprentice Poultry Training Assistant (Level 3)

As an Apprentice Poultry Training Assistant you will work closely with our highly skilled team of assessors and tutors to develop the knowledge and skills required to become a fully qualified Agricultural assessor.
Will spend time in both the office and on a number of clients farms to ensure they gain a sound understanding of this technical and fast growing industry. Daily duties will include;
Supporting the delivery of Apprenticeships (Farm based-Nationwide)
Supporting the delivery of Apprenticeships (Classroom based-Nationwide)
Supporting the delivery of functional Skills training programmes
Attending Industry Events
Attending Schools/Careers events promoting Poultry Apprenticeships
Assisting with learner satisfaction surveys
Assisting with learner progress reviews
Assisting with the development of training materials
Shadowing trained assessors with the aim of progressing into this role in the future
Working on a number of different clients farms/hatcherys
Will involve travelling on a national basis and will include some nights away from home.
The role will be varied and interesting and will involve working on agricultural sites, significant travelling, and nights away and could include some unsociable hours. Many agricultural sites are located within the countryside; therefore own transport will be essential. When applying for vacancies please bear this in mind. This work is only with poultry. Due to Hygiene and Biosecurity you will be declined a position if you currently keep or are in contact with any poultry.
Hours of work - 39 hrs per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30 - 5.30, Friday - 8.30-5.00
Qualifications & Skills required - GCSEs English & Maths (A-C grades or equivalent).
Must already have a Level 2 qualification within the industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel needed as is a genuine interest in Agriculture.
Training via Poultec Training leading to a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Agriculture (Poultry Production).
City & Guilds Functional Skills Level 2 Maths- if required.
City & Guilds Functional Skills Level 2 English- if required.
