Company Profile:

Caice is an award-winning designer and manufacturer of environmental building products working on a variety of construction projects in the UK.

Due to retirement, the opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to work within the Special Projects Department, which specialises in the supply and installation of Caice louvre and panelling products.

The QS role involves collaboration with the Estimating, CAD, and Contracts Teams, and is pivotal to ensuring that Caice interests are protected in both the pre and post contract stages of a project.

The role:

A diverse, challenging and autonomous role, you MUST be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of contract issues and financial administration and have significant experience of working in the UK construction industry. Additionally the ability to recognise the typical amendments made to contracts governed by English law is an essential part of this role.

Essential criteria :

· Have experience using UK Standard and Bespoke Contract Forms in order to negotiate acceptable and profitable outcomes for Caice.

· Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

· Be able to maintain concise and effective communication, both written and verbal, with all parties involved in a project.

· Have outstanding attention to detail and prioritise work to strict project deadlines.

· Embrace challenges, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to travel to site throughout the UK.

· Have the right to live and work in the UK.

· Live within commutable distance to our Winnersh Office.

Skills and qualifications:

· Have an appropriate degree, with an accredited qualification to the RICS or equivalent.

· Have proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.

· Have strong numeracy and financial management skills.

· Have the aptitude to learn new systems quickly.

· Be able to prepare ‘time-appropriate’ Training Sessions to assist the Special Projects Team with their project management.
