Preparing non-domestic rate accounts where there has been a change of occupier/ownership and amending non-domestic rate liabilities in line with approved policies

Responding to and taking decisions on routine enquiries from scanned post, email, online forms or details obtained from the customer via telephone

Issuing non-domestic demand notices, adjustment notices, reminder notices and other documents

Reviewing and taking appropriate action including issuing inspections to ensure empty and unoccupied properties, exemptions and reliefs are correctly applied and calculated

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our forward thinking, friendly Revenues and Benefits department delivering our Five Star Customer Service Standards and helping our residents and ratepayers to manage their accounts., A good understanding of Council Tax / Business Rates legislation and guidance
