Workshop and Service Assistant

Reporting directly to the management team, the Workshop and Service Assistant is a proactive and important member of the company. The individual will be motivated and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a strong team, communicating with all departments such as the Workshop, Service, Hire and Sales departments and will be able to work to various timelines where needed.

As a Workshop and Service Assistant, you must demonstrate the ability to:

· Communicate with colleagues whilst building rapport.

· Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.

· Follow instructions and requests within the time frame requested and to a good standard.

Daily Duties to include the following but not limited to:

· Moving forklift trucks safely around the site to different areas as requested (forklift driver training will be provided).

· Dealing with transport requests for trucks being collected for hire or returned.

· Assist with loading and unloading delivery lorries.

· Complete booking in forms for the trucks returning from a customer site and for new truck deliveries.

· Cleaning trucks ready for hire, including steam cleaning.

· Carrying out minor cosmetic repairs to forklift trucks as required.

· General housekeeping and some minor building maintenance around the site.

· General housekeeping in the Workshop, keeping it at a tidy, safe and hazard free standard.

· Assist Engineers in the Workshop when required.

· Delivering parts to sites for Engineers when required.
