Welder Apprenticeship

Mick George Limited have over 45 sites and our head office based in Huntingdon, Supplying Skips, Tippers and Aggregates and a variety of office roles from Finance, to customer services, sales to administrative. They are currently looking for two Welder apprentices to join and learn within their team.,

• To undertake welding duties to maintain a fleet of vehicles, plant and skips ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum


• Undertake maintenance work through various methods of welding such as MIG, TIG & ARC and to ensure work is of a high quality at all times.


• Produce and interpret technical drawings.


• Undertake fabrication duties to produce various required items such as catwalks, steps, skips and buckets.


• Adhere to Company and legislative H&S procedures at all times.


• Production of RAMS for all works undertaken.


• Refurbishment of wear material on shredders.
  
  GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4-9) - Essential


• GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4-9) - Essential


Training to be provided

• The learner will be studying the General welder (arc processes) Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.


• Day release to West Suffolk College.


• Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
