Full Job Description

The operation of Wastewater treatment Works in line with business IMS, Health, Safety, and regulatory requirements. This will include:

  • Liaising & assisting with ME&I craft colleagues on reactive and maintenance work associated with the wastewater treatment process.

  • Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation.

  • Liaising and coordinating with the area Supervisor and team members on operating activities and formulating effective and efficient cost reductions plans and savings.

  • Ensuring correct compliance to required EC Directives, business procedures and all other company standards.

  • Willing to develop and learn within the role and have the flexibility and competence to operate and maintain multiple sites.

  • Manual cleaning, washing down and basic maintenance of equipment associated with the wastewater treatment process. General Health & safety tasks such as keeping footpaths & walkways clear of debris and in good condition.

  • Advice and support from the Production Engineers, Process Control and Craft colleagues

  • Liaison with local sewerage network Team

  • Liaison with Natural Resources Wales / Environment Agency

  • Liaison with DCWW suppliers and contractors.

    Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.

  • Awareness of regulatory bodies such as Environment Agency/NRW.

  • Knowledge of discharge consent licences for all environmental discharges.

  • Competent on Computer systems including Word, Excel etc.

  • Team player, willing to take part in all necessary training requirements required for the role.

  • 260-hour PWT contract
