Full Job Description

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the overall purpose of the role is to provide supervisory support to a team of Warehouse Operatives, ensuring health and safety practices are adhered to and ensuring contractual needs are met and exceeded., Working Arrangements: Rolling Shift Pattern 6am/2pm, 2pm/10pm, Monday to Friday.

The five main things our Warehouse Supervisor will be working on are:

· People Management and Development including time keeping, investigations, absence management, disciplinary processes, and drug & alcohol compliance.

· Delivery of a British Retail Consortium Global Standards Warehouse.

· Training and the review of training requirements. This includes coaching warehouse staff members and conducting toolbox talk reviews and warehouse team meetings. In addition, instructing warehouse staff on the correct procedures for receiving, storing, and processing orders and despatching goods.

· Ensuring Health and Safety Procedures are in place and are adhered to. This includes the carrying out and implementation of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work. As well as reporting of safety database information and EMS.

· Carrying out reports such as ISO and customer audits, KPI reporting, damage reports, performance reports, defect reports, etc.

· Has pace, determination, flexibility and leads by example.

· Has a valid UK driver's license and counterbalance truck licence.

· Must have an understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation relevant to the role, including an understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work

· Has previous experience working within a warehouse environment.
