Full Job Description

  • Assess volunteer applications, shortlisting and interview new volunteers where necessary.

  • Liaise with festival departments to understand their needs and to provide details of volunteers assigned to their events.

  • Help raise staff awareness of the role and the function of volunteers.

  • Ensure there is appropriate support and training for volunteers.

    Demonstrable and significant previous administrative experience gained within a cultural organisation in a similar role.

  • Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and to manage and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrable skill and experience in information and data management.

  • The ability to build effective relationships with key contacts across BFI and stakeholder organisations, and to communicate effectively and tactfully with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Computer literacy and confidence in working with Microsoft Office - particularly Excel.
