Full Job Description

This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your fundraising skills at the UK's leading cancer support charity. As a Trusts and Foundations Officer, you will play a key role in the delivery of an ambitious strategy for income growth by securing high-value donations from trusts and foundations. You will develop warm long-term relationships with donors, and engage new supporters, to solicit five-figure donations by working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity. You will also provide high-quality stewardship to donors, recognising the impact of their support and enabling them to become advocates and champions for Macmillan.

If so, we're looking for someone with excellent relationship building and communication skills to help drive a step-change in Macmillan's income.,

  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to navigate complex information and develop proposals that articulate a clear vision and compelling narrative to inspire donors.

  • Excellent verbal communication, networking, and relationship-building skills with experience of building trusted, authentic relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to identify, cultivate, secure, and steward high-value philanthropic gifts.

  • Experience of using databases, ideally with experience of using Raiser's Edge.
