Full Job Description
We are looking for Trustees to help us develop and thrive, as part of our board you will be at the heart of our charity. You will set our direction and have oversight of what we do in terms of strategy, scrutiny, and support.
- Financial management
- Fundraising events
- HR, Travel limit? No specific limit, though knowledge of the local area essential, Our existing trustees bring a wide variety of skills and experiences and we are currently aiming to strengthen our collective expertise by appointing three new trustees:
- a trustee with experience and expertise in Fundraising (no previous experience of holding a trustee position is required).
- a trustee with experience and expertise of HR (no previous experience of holding a trustee position is required).
- a generalist trustee with experience of charity management or governance either through a previous trustee role or as a senior leader in a relevant charity.
- A passion for our cause.
- Willingness and ability to understand and accept their responsibilities and liabilities as trustees and to act in the best interests of the organisation.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise good, independent judgement and work effectively as a board member.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to participate actively in discussion.
- A strong personal commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Enthusiasm for our vision and mission.
- Willingness to lead according to our values.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role of trustee, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board. Ideally, you will have the following personal skills and qualities:
