Full Job Description

The post holder will work with schools to provide expert advice in all aspects of SEND. They will also be responsible for supporting the development of SEND provision across the Trust to ensure we are research led in the education we provide to SEND children.

The successful candidate will have had experience working with senior leaders in a school setting and hold the relevant qualifications, or working towards the qualifications, to hold the title of SENCo in a school. They will require an up-to-date knowledge of national and local policies, assessment, behaviour management strategies and a comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements around SEND. They must also have a commitment to an inclusive education for all children.
Reporting to the Trust's Educational Psychologist, the Lead SENCo will build outstanding practices across our schools to help achieve excellent outcomes for all children attending one of our academies.
