TRANSPORT OPERATIVE

Do you have experience in a logistic environment where you have worked with different lifting/transport equipment such as truck, forklift, crawler cranes or overhead cranes? Would you like the opportunity to develop a career in a global organisation within a very exciting industry and with a record-breaking product? 

Tasks & responsibilities: You will… 

  • be responsible for moving blades safely around the production and storage areas in Fawley. We work in shift of 12 hour day shifts only, 4 days on, 4 days off, 7 days per week. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Maintain high safety standards and work with the HSE department to report incidents and highlight risks so they can be handled appropriately 
  • Lifting, transport and storage of blades. 
  • Understand the production and shipment schedule for the coming shift and know the movement plans to deliver blades to the line in the required timing. 
  • Ensure that paperwork is maintained. 
  • Maintain the storage area and blade stacking to ensure optimum access and usability. 
  • Apply 5S principles and methodology.

Skills & experience: Our new colleague… 

must have a valid UK driving licence.

Experience of forklift and other lifting equipment will be preferable. Handling large and heavy loads is beneficial. Training will be given for all necessary certification

As a Transport Operative, it is very important that you are a team-oriented person. You must have a good understanding of safety, quality processes and reporting. 

Furthermore, you must have good communication skills and speak, read and write English fluently.
