Full Job Description

As a Training & Employment Advisor, you will collaborate with the Bromley Good Works Project Manager to develop and deliver high-quality training programs in partnership with Bromley Jobcentre Plus. Your primary responsibility will be to support DWP Universal Credit customers by providing independent career guidance and training, working closely with DWP Work Coaches and the College Skills Team. You will plan, organize, and deliver training workshops, engage with employers to secure employment opportunities for learners, and ensure successful transitions into the workforce.

Educational Background: A Level 3 qualification or above, preferably in a related subject, along with a Level 2 in English and Maths, demonstrates a commitment to education and essential skills for the role. Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a car is necessary for travel within the region.
- Knowledge and Experience: Understanding of government-funded work-based training and experience in designing and managing targeted sales campaigns are essential. Experience of working with DWP or Welfare to Work Projects and familiarity with the DWP process are highly desirable.
- Teaching Qualification: A teaching certificate or relevant qualification showcases your ability to deliver effective training sessions and support learners' progress.
- Sales and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability in sales and marketing, including cold calling, along with excellent communication skills, are vital for engaging with employers, promoting courses, and providing support to learners.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, manage workload, achieve targets, and evaluate outcomes is essential for effective program delivery and success in the role.
