Term Time Coach Driver

What we have on offer is a number of Term Time positions which means you'll be working with us inline with the academic year - 39 weeks of the year.

Your normal working week with us will be Monday-Friday between approximately 06:00-18:00 although shift times will vary depending on operational requirements.

You will be required to work the occasional weekend as and when required which will be paid on top of your normal salary.

We have a heavy focus on school related work and have built an exemplary reputation throughout the South East particularly in the private education sector hence the need for additional term time drivers to join the team. A standard day will usually involve a morning and afternoon school run. In-between that you might have a swimming run to do, a school trip or just helping out with general yard duties. We do cover all aspects of Coach Hire though so there will be varied work particularly during the busier times of the year.

What We Expect

To be eligible for this position you'll need a PCV (Cat D) License, Drivers CPC Card & a Digital Tacho Card.

Along with this there are two main traits that we look for in all our drivers and those are reliability & customer service. We are a family run company and have commitments which we need to fulfil, therefore we expect our drivers to turn up on time every time. Being the face of the company we also expect our drivers to go above and beyond for our customers. We have a great team that work for us and see much repeat business due to the service they provide whilst out on the road and that is something we intend to uphold so you must have a thorough understanding of what it takes to provide great customer service.

Local knowledge of the Kent & Surrey areas would be beneficial (knowledge of London is a bonus too) but not essential. What is important though is being confident in driving places you may not be familiar with.

Established in 2006 and based just outside of Maidstone, Starline Coaches has been providing transport services across the South East for almost two decades. We now operate a substantial fleet of over 25 vehicles and are on the lookout for drivers to join our ever expanding team.

We operate a fleet of minibuses, service buses & coaches covering all aspects of work from; home to school transport, schools trips/residentials, sports fixtures, weddings, concerts, airport transfers, day trips, touring and everything in-between.

It goes without saying that you'll be on a very generous salary of £28,000 which is paid weekly, all year round. Yet you are only required to work in line with the standard academic year which is 39 weeks of the year. This gives you 13 weeks a year to do with as you please, all whilst still getting paid.
