Full Job Description

The role is based within the Transactional Finance section within the Finance Directorate. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes within our organization. Your primary responsibilities comprise of a range of administrative tasks, contributing to the efficient functioning of our financial systems.,

  • Provide essential administrative support to various teams within the directorate.

  • Compile and analyse financial data.

  • Prepare detailed daily reports on revenues and benefits.

  • Contribute to process improvements within the Financial Admin Team.

  • Collaborate with the Transactional Finance team to raise 25% of the authorities' Purchase Orders.

  • Handle requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational guidelines.

  • Process and receipt invoices promptly.

  • Manage refunds and non-invoice payments efficiently.

  • Generate corporate invoices as required.

  • Assist colleagues with financial queries and tasks.

    You will need a good standard of education, obtaining at least Grade C in GCSE Maths and English or an equivalent qualification. Flexibility is a must for this role. Be confident in communicating at all levels by email, phone and in person. Good time management skills are essential, as you will be expected to deliver tasks within specified deadlines using your initiative. You will need to be able to move effortlessly from task to task and often with little supervision., Proficiency in financial administration and data management.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.

  • A working knowledge of MS Office, particularly in Excel and confidence with information technology is a must, We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
