Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Secretary to provide essential admin support for the Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) for our South Leicestershire Community Mental Health Team based at the Neville Centre., The Team Secretary will be the main point of contact providing a comprehensive administrative service for the CMHT team. You will be expected to attend, minute and document accurate team minutes, assisting with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings. Process patient referrals and discharges, liaise with service leads to collate critical service data, assist with clinical staff diary management, and update service data held on MS Excel spreadsheets. You will be required to provide cover for the Medical Secretary as needed. Use of the Electronic Patients Record system is key to the role.

You will also carry out office administration work which will include typing clinic and appointment letters, scanning, ensuring the team has sufficient PPE and office stationery stocks and dealing with telephone queries from patients, patients relatives, or external agencies.

This is a fast paced, often challenging role for anyone who enjoys delivering gold standard customer care to our patients. You will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to think on your feet, the ability to follow process and to contribute effectively towards team work and problem solving. You will need an excellent telephone manner and the ability to listen, to often distressed patients. Detailed and accurate information taking will also be a requirement for this post. If you enjoy hard work and have an enthusiastic approach to learning ,this is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to progress within LPT., The ideal post holders will have a proactive can do attitude and demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trusts values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect and Trust.

You would need to be able to prioritise your work and help support minimising delays which impact on patient waiting times.

You will also need

o Excellent communication skills verbal and written

o A good understanding of database systems and inputting of data

o Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Word

o Excellent organisation skills with an attention to detail
