Post: Design Technology Teacher

Responsible to: Head of Design Technology

Salary: Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale

Required from: September 2024

The College seeks to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic technology teacher to join our secondary team at Cromwell Community College. You will need the ability to teach both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and there are also opportunities for teaching Key Stage 5.

At Key Stage 4 we offer Design Technology, Engineering and Hospitality and Catering, and Product Design in Key Stage 5. We welcome applications from candidates who can teach in any of these areas. The technology department is a well-resourced and has a team of experienced and skilled teachers, supported by two technicians.

We are an oversubscribed, and successful school and the number of pupils opting to take a technology subject at GCSE and A-level are increasing each year. If you are ambitious and passionate about technology and recognise its importance for the development of all pupils and will strive to provide excellent results in our already successful department, we would like to hear from you.

We were recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted but are striving for Outstanding. We recently become an all-through school, the first in Cambridgeshire, and have pupils from age 4 - 18. The addition of our primary phase, over the coming years, will also provide lots of additional opportunities for staff to work in the primary phase as well as the secondary and Post-16.

Cromwell Community College offers the chance to join a strong and experienced team and for you to develop your skills and enhance your career development through a wealth of CPD opportunities which is a particular strength of the Trust.
