Full Job Description

Are you enthusiastic about getting creative and love to throw yourself into craft projects? Do you enjoy swimming, shopping or just popping out for a cup of tea?

Become a Support Worker

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It's their life, their way.

We are looking for an imaginative and enthusiastic person to join our team supporting 10 people in Goole. You will be working in people's homes, so it's important you can connect, share interests and be interested. We are looking for people who enjoy getting out into the wider community but are equally ready to get stuck into activities back at home too.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week including alternate weekends. Also, to ensure the people we support get the most from their activity time you must hold a FULL UK drivers licence to be considered for this role.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave.

Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it's not all trips out and artwork. We also support people to take their medication, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.
It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new - what a feeling!
If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
