Full Job Description

Working in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, approved data, and company needs, the aircraft structures technician inspects, fixes, and modifies aircraft structural elements.,

  • At all times and throughout all organisational levels, we are genuine and open., Conduct examinations, create, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal structures and components for aircraft.

  • Utilize ferrous and non-ferrous materials, as well as specialized aircraft fastening hardware to restore or repair defects and make structural adjustments.

  • Produce and install structural parts for aircraft, perform corrosion control inspections, and treat materials as required.


  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Record inconsistencies and create task cards in compliance with company guidelines and procedures, as well as customer manuals.

  • Ascertain and document the appropriate remedial measures for inconsistencies.

  • Record maintenance activities in compliance with client manuals and business policies and procedures.

  • Complete a range of forms, tags, and documents as needed, following customer manuals and business policies and procedures.

  • Determine necessary parts and submit purchase requests.


  • Team Coordination and Oversight:
  • Monitor workmanship standards and compliance with regulations and company procedures to ensure continued airworthiness of the aircraft.

  • Ensure documentation is up to date and tasks are completed efficiently and to quality standards using applicable technical data.


  • Continuous Improvement and Compliance:
  • Provide input on future Ground Support Equipment (GSE), tooling, and consumable requirements to the Manager Operations and Director of Operations.

  • Support and implement business changes with a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Recognize and uphold all tasks and responsibilities in compliance with relevant regulations, including but not limited to CAA, FAA, and EASA.

    Recognized aeronautical training for aircraft mechanics or workshop tradesmen.

  • Trade School certification in Aircraft Structures.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Aircraft Structures.

  • Up-to-date training in EWIS, FTS, and HF.

  • Demonstrated experience managing sheet metal workers in A.O.G, line, and base maintenance environments, and supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules, Human Factors, human performance/limitations, and regulations as they apply to safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations.

  • High level of understanding of Part M/CAMO roles and responsibilities, inclusive of interaction with 145 MRO.

  • Excellent technical decision-making ability on structures tasks and the capability to make sound and logical decisions under pressure.

  • Effective interpersonal interaction abilities with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively escalate unresolved customer, technical, compliance, or personnel-related issues.

  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy and an excellent understanding of Engineering IT systems.
