Full Job Description

As Staff Writer on GamesRadar+, you'll be responsible for helping to continue the rapid global growth of the website by delivering news content that connects with a global audience of millions of gamers and TV/Film fans.

You'll primarily help create daily gaming news content for the website, reporting to the News Editor and working with the games news team, building out our breaking news and community reporting work that is so crucial to the site's voice and growth. Ideally, you'll be comfortable writing about AAA releases as you are with indie titles or Steam Next Fest. You'll uncover great stories, interviews and angles before rival sites, being able to create news and angles for articles from your sources, contacts, or your expertise.

  • A passion for games, the developers, and players alike.

  • Proven ability to write high quality engaging, relevant content for the sector.

  • Proven ability to deliver high volumes of content at pace.

  • Understanding of SEO, and methods of identifying and ranking for, targeted terms.

  • A global outlook, and understanding of the international video games market.

  • Numerate and analytical.

  • Experience of content management systems.

  • Ability to work as part of a wider team.

  • Good communication skills.

    This is a Hybrid role from our Bath Office, working three days from the office, two from home.
