Practitioner £12.60 per hour Support Worker £11.56 per hour,

154 hours per annum over 22 sessions Covering 12 Saturdays and 10 days in school holidays.

About the service

We offer Specialist Group-Based Short Breaks for Children and Young People with Disabilities Aged 8-17 in West Norfolk and the Breckland area. Following an increase in referrals we are looking for new team members to join us.

About the role

Our Specialist Short Breaks Service Groups provide friendships, independence and fun experiences and opportunities for children and young people with a range of disabilities and individual needs while providing respite for their carers from their caring responsibilities. Our service runs throughout the year. Team members working hours are 9am to 4pm.

Our Chapel Green School (Attleborough) group is looking for more team members. This group runs on the first Saturday of the month (12 sessions a year) and on a Wednesday most school holidays (10 sessions a year).

Our Duke of Lancaster School (Fakenham) group is also looking for more team members. This group runs on the third Saturday of the month (12 sessions a year) and on a Tuesday most school holidays (10 sessions a year).

These part-time roles offer you the opportunity to build your confidence in working with children and young people with needs in a very supported team. Training opportunities are available to build on your current knowledge. Our teams work together to offer the very best care to the children and young people who attend. Previous experience is not required for the support worker role.

What we are looking for

· You will be committed to providing a child centred, fun, safe and positive environment for the children.

· You will hold a relevant qualification and/or experience of working with children with a diverse range of individual needs or have an interest in this area of work and are wanting to develop skills.

· Practitioners will offer individual support to young people with high support needs and advice and guidance to parents of children with disabilities.

· Support Workers will support the Senior Practitioner or Practitioner with exceptional support need where the support required is 2:1 ratio.

· You will be able to offer individual / group support in the session to young people with moderate to high support needs.
