Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Children and Young People's Therapy Team in Ashford.

Situated in Kent, the Garden of England, Ashford has easy access to London and is close to the university city of Canterbury, which is vibrant and lively with a theatre, bars and restaurants as well as many historic sites.

Folkestone and Dover are close by, giving easy access to Europe via the Channel Tunnel, Dover ferry port and the Eurostar.

Main duties of the job

We encourage an evidenced based, outcome focused approach to meeting the needs of our service users. We provide assessment and intervention based on a child's individual need regardless of their age (0-19 years).

Experience

Essential

Minimum of 2 year's post qualification experience

Desirable

Relevant paediatric experience at undergraduate / post graduate level

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy

  • HCPC registration


  • Qualifications

    Essential

    Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development

    Desirable

    Evidence of relevant post graduate training in paediatrics

    Knowledge

    Essential

    Knowledge of the principles of clinical governance

    Desirable

    Experience of being involved with clinical audit / service improvement

    Evidence of advanced clinical reasoning skills

  • Ability to be able to assess for and prescribe specialist equipment for children / young people with complex presentations
