Full Job Description

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and innovative Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Adult Community Learning Disabilities Team based in Hull.

We are a well-established small team of friendly, motivated and committed individuals. You will receive regular individual supervision, CPD, training and support within the role to help transfer your skills and develop competencies in this specialist field. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a community learning disabilities team as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team but we welcome applications from all candidates.

The post holder will provide assessments and individual interventions for service users with a learning disability and often complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles.

Main duties of the job

Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

Use standardised assessments such as AMPS and MOHOST.

Assess for and prescribe appropriate equipment.

Advise on moving and handling.

Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy Services. Provide outcomes for the service and service users by using agreed tools/assessments.Contribute to the development and maintenance of Occupational Therapy within the Trust. Ensure OT provision is delivered in accordance with HCPC and Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) requirements.Provide supervision for junior staff
