Senior Quantity Surveyor

Manage risk, control costs to ensure delivery of project on time to specification.

Principle duties and accountabilities

• Prepare and analyse tenders and contract documents.


• Negotiate ongoing contracts with suppliers and customers.


• Management and reporting of supplier contracts and terms.


• Provide governance on contract approval and execution to ensure deals are closed appropriately.


• Present detailed information on the cost of work on a periodic basis.


• Liaison across all teams in relation to preconstruction feasibility/viability.


• Allocate work to subcontractors.


• Manage the cost of works to ensure that the budget is not exceeded.


• Arrange payments as agreed throughout and at the completion of work.


• Value all completed work and arrange payments accordingly.


• Provide advice on any contractual claims should they arise.
  
  Ideally a minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential sector.


• Natural leader of people with excellent managerial and motivational skills.


• Proven experience within residential development.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Excellent client relationship skills.


• Ability to communicate at all levels and to build effective networks.


• Experience of reporting to Board and presenting complex information in an accessible manner.


• Excellent computer literacy inclusive of excel.


• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
