Full Job Description

  • Lead on the management of a number of BSPS Information Management & Technology (IM&T) projects. The majority of projects will be IT Application Deployments.

  • Facilitate project governance arrangements which for a standard project would include a Project Review Board chaired by an SRO and a working group chaired by the post holder.

  • Use the BSPS standard project management approach

  • Ensure all projects are well documented

  • Ensure projects are delivered to time, budget and requirements are met and planned benefits are delivered.

  • Undertake scoping, specifying and forecasting project budgets

  • Managing project budgets throughout the project life cycle

  • Identifying appropriate resources and capabilities, selecting and managing specialist skilled contractors for key projects.

  • The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate an understanding of Project Management with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team or to lead the project teams involved in the design, integration and implementation of new systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as dealing with a wide range of clinical staff and associated professionals is a significant aspect of this role.
