Full Job Description

Warehouse (Distribution Centre)

As the DC Operations Supervisor you will work closely with the Head of Operations Coach to ensure the smooth running of the DC and production functions within the business.

· Preparing the Distribution Centre (DC) for the days and weeks work.

· Managing stock accuracy within the DC ensuring compliance with the daily stock check KPI is maintained

· Physically picking and packing orders when required

· Assisting with the goods in and put-away functions

· Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and print consumables

· Assisting with despatch functions

· Supervising and delegating work to the DC team including pick channel allocation, goods in, despatch and stock replenishment

· Monitoring and reporting on DC KPI targets

· Ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy and workable in line with management expectations

· Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Maximising the use of space in the DC identifying opportunities for improved storage utilisation

· Dealing with all items/issues within the workplace and ensure any problems are rectified or referred to senior management

· Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.

· Help develop and improve DC processes and procedures

Print Production Function

Work with Head of Operations Coach and Lead Presser to ensure production output is met and performance is in line, if not better than KPI targets

· Oversee production output of Pressing Team ensuring performance is in-line with or ideally better than KPI targets

· Update and analyse daily KPI metrics and report any deviations from the target. Help complete an action plan and investigate a root cause of the deviation appropriately

· Identify issues through data and proactively assess solutions

· Effectively and proactively communicate with relevant colleagues and departments any problems or obstacles that may delay or otherwise affect customer orders.

· Communicate any and all issues effecting the daily production output to the Head of Operations Coach

Other Responsibilities (In liaison with Head of Operations Coach)

· Oversee the repair and routine maintenance/calibration of production equipment

· Assist in conducting performance reviews of DC and Print colleagues

· Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process of new colleagues

· Other reasonable tasks as identified by Senior Management

· Competently use our business management systems including Pick Pack Direct and Brightpearl. Full training will be provided.

· Experience for training and coaching others.

· Experience of working in a warehouse and production role previously

· Ability to anticipate problems before they occur and taking action deal with them correctly and swiftly.

· Working knowledge & utilisation of Continuous Improvement techniques

· Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to monitor work carried out by others to ensure tasks are delivered to time, quality and other requirements.

· Able to make timely decisions in a considered and pragmatic way.

· Ability to recognise day-to-day issues, which are commercially important to the business.

· Able to inspire the team to perform, dealing effectively with performance issues and creates a sense of trust in the team.

Experience:

Operations experience essential as are at least TWO references.

We are looking for a candidate to join our Operations team to work to KitKing's high standards and set lead times. You will be working Monday to Friday 10:30am - 7pm during our peak months with the possibility of reviewing during quieter periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift - 10:30am - 7:00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)

  • Monday to Friday
