We seek a senior OT who can support the continued provision of a high quality, patient centred therapy service adhering to evidence based practice.

The ethos of the therapy department is strongly aligned to the Trust's We Care Values. We also see ourselves:

"To be theYof NEL, empowering people to live their best life, committed to innovative development of our staff and services with transparency. Think of us as part of your caring family as we are proud to be one."

This is the department's vision statement and we are looking for someone who will come along on our journey to continue to deliver this.

The Therapy Department benefits from an integrated approach to Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy management whilst providing clear OT specific professional leadership. There is a strong commitment to staff training and development.

To take a proactive, positive risk taking approach with advanced risk assessment skills in discharge planning and support the less experienced therapists to do the same.

The post holder is responsible for the occupational therapy team and jointly responsible for the assistant staff within medicine.
