Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Senior Learning Support Assistant at our Lambeth campus. Working collaboratively with the Learning Inclusion Manager and linked curriculum teaching staff, you will strengthen the day to day support and learning experience in and out of the classroom environment to young people and adults with SEN.

It is essential that you have experience of working with SEN learners in a secondary or FE environment and are passionate about improving learner experience and working closely with learners, their families and external support. You will also be confident in supporting and coordinating colleagues in a variety of transition activities and settings, as well as, ability to deal with complex situations by demonstrating effective communications and tact. Excellent record keeping skills and an attention to detail is essential.

The successful applicant will hold or be willing to work towards Higher level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) or an equivalent qualification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is important, as are, showing sound organisational skills combined with IT and administrative knowledge.
