Full Job Description

The post of Senior Executive Assistant (SEA) will support our President, Professor Sir Anthony Finkelstein. You will be based in the President's Office, a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and will report to the Chief of Staff. You will be working at the highest level of the organisation with our most senior leaders. This is an exciting time to join us, as we implement our new Strategy and merge with St. George's, University of London.

You will provide a comprehensive and confidential executive support service to the President of City, University of London, working collegially with colleagues across the University. You will provide a professional and responsive first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries to the President's Office, offer full diary coordination and administrative support to the President to ensure his efficient and effective functioning, and support communications and event management for the President., Where hybrid working can be accommodated, specific arrangements will be agreed with the successful candidate before their start date. Regardless of where colleagues are working, City, University of London's premises will be their primary and contractual place of work.

You will have experience of providing direct executive support to a senior leader in a large, complex organisation (minimum five years). You will have exceptional and meticulous diary management skills, and will be able to judge prioritisation of the activities of the President to organise work schedules to meet strategic goals.

You will have experience of working in a customer-focused environment and delivering effective communications to both internal and external customers at all levels. You will have organised events, serviced meetings, and utilised electronic databases, filing systems and planning tools. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and collaborative skills are also required.

Additional desirable skills include: sound knowledge of, or experience working in, Higher Education; project management; budgetary monitoring; line management.
