Full Job Description

Based at London Blackfriars, as Scheme Project Manager working within the Controls part of the Asset Intelligence Team, you will have an important role collating and analysing data that supports Asset Management delivering the CP6 Year 5 / CP7 renewals workbanks. You will be involved in the development of dashboards, systems and processes that support period reporting, change control, remit BAC and PBR reporting using SharePoint, PowerBI and other tools.

This role as part of the Asset Intelligence team offers support to the Asset Management community and other stakeholders.

Please note: this role is not directly involved in the delivery of renewals or enhancements projects.

The work undertaken by the Integration team is varied and changes to actively support the needs of the business. To give you flavour of the varied projects you may get involved in, the following is a snapshot of current active projects:

· RF Assurance and Commentary for Asset Management

· Data provision and analysis to support the delivery of the delivery of the renewals portfolio using tools such as PowerBI

· Provision of information and reporting to respond to ORR requests

· Periodic Asset Reviews to report on delivery of renewals projects, trending and analysis

· Efficiencies trackers, schemes, initiatives

· Readiness reporting, remits status, financial authorisations and workbank stability to NR Centre

· Renewals workbank Strategic Change Control

About the role (External)

Key Accountabilities:

· Deliver individual projects or parts of projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Project Acceleration in a Controlled Environment (PACE), applicable Network Rail company standards, current legislation and procedures including HMRI guidance where appropriate.

· Provide a professional, consistent and effective project management service including the use of performance indicators and project reporting systems in accordance with Railway Group and Network Rail’s company standards and guidelines.

· Manage the development and delivery of change projects in compliance with company processes and procedures.

· Manage tactical change and risks within the project life cycle for allocated schemes.

· Support the provision of a safe working environment in the execution of managed work.

· Comply with the Investment Competence Framework.

· Manage the production of project management plans for change projects.

· Manage project budgets within agreed targets

· Deliver regular progress reports on change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to the Programme Manager.

· Promote and monitor the use of efficiency improvement methods.

· Successful relevant experience including project management.

· Educated to HNC/HND or similar standard.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills.

· Project safety management experience

· Knowledge and ability to use PowerBI for reporting

· Knowledge of Oracle Projects

· Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental procedures.

· Knowledge of commercial and financial procedures.

Desirable

· Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management or other professional body.
