Full Job Description

  • Safeguard the children in your care, prioritising their safety, well-being, and emotional development at all times.

  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for children, parents, and staff, adhering to nursery policies and procedures.

  • Build positive and successful relationships with children, parents, and staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.

  • Lead the team within your assigned room, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure best practices and high standards are consistently maintained.

  • Support the management team by actively contributing to the smooth operation of the nursery.

  • Stay up-to-date with current childcare regulations and best practices, implementing them effectively within the room.

  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

  • Early Years Lead Practitioner level 5 Higher National Diploma

  • 20% off the job training

  • Tutor support via smart assessor

    Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade A-C (4-9)) Essential

    • NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent Early Years Educator (Grade Level 3) Essential, Early years lead practitioner

    Level 5 (Higher national Diploma)
