Full Job Description

The Retail Specialist is the first person our customers meet when they enter the shop. They will guide our customers through the shop, delivering excellent customer service at all times and get involved in all activity including merchandising, serving customers and receiving donations. The person will:

  • Ensure the store is well stocked, merchandised and kept clean, tidy and accessible.

  • Manage cash and stock controls within the store.

  • Give direction and offer support on a daily basis to our shop volunteers.

  • Follow the stock processing systems (such as pricing, quality standards, consumer safety, stock density and culling stock), including backroom systems and ensure these are adhered to by the volunteer team.

  • Follow procedures for accepting donations, ensuring that gift aid information is gathered accurately.

  • Be responsible for the opening and closing of the shop.
