Full Job Description

Hancocks Cash & Carry Limited is part of the World of Sweets Group. We are currently looking for someone to join us on a part time (20 hours per week) basis at our Liverpool Cash & Carry Store (based in Bootle). This is a great opportunity if you are looking for part time hours to fit around your existing lifestyle.,

  • Customer service for example building customer relationships in store, answering the telephone, using tills or resolving queries using IT systems

  • Efficient stock management including replenishment, stock rotation, date checking, labelling and taking ownership of areas of the store and making it your own

  • Picking stock for customer orders in a timely manner and getting them ready for collection or delivery

  • Receiving deliveries and being able to check off delivery notes, both physically and using IT systems for goods in receipt

  • Using initiative to carry out tasks as required but also working as part of a team

    Experience within a retail, warehouse or customer service environment

  • Cash handling / till / checkout experience

  • Good organisation and communications skills

  • Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns

  • Drive and determination to succeed in a fast paced environment

  • A friendly and approachable person who can build customer relationships

  • A person who isn't afraid of getting stuck in at busy times to meet customer demands

    Hours: 20 hours a week on a four week rotating shift pattern as follows:


  • Weeks 1 & 2:
  • Tuesday 08:00-13:00

  • Wednesday 12:00-17:00

  • Thursday 08:00-14:00

  • Sunday 09:00-13:00


  • Weeks 3 and 4:
  • Tuesday 08:00-13:00

  • Wednesday 12:00-17:00

  • Thursday 14:00-20:00

  • Sunday 09:00-13:00
