Full Job Description

As the Retail Administrator you will assist the retail operations and ensure that they are a successful source of income generation whilst maintaining a good rapport with the wider retail team. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Support the achievement of the overall budget for retail

  • Demonstrate a standard of excellence at all times with regard to customer service, volunteer and supporter care

  • Liaising with the warehouse team and drivers.

  • Helping out members of the retail office on projects when required.

  • Updating Maintenance Spreadsheet as required

  • Assist with the administration of the recruitment of Volunteers, maintaining records within the Donorflex database

  • Working with the Head of Retail on ad hoc tasks


  • The post holder must ensure that services are provided to a high standard. For a more extensive list of responsibilities, please refer to the Job Description document.

    Working Arrangements

    This is a part-time role (21 hrs per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospices' Tivoli Brooks Retail Office. Working days will be 3 days between Monday and Sunday, allocated via a monthly rota, although you should be flexible, As part of our commitment to be an inclusive employer, ensuring fairness and consistency in selecting the best candidate for this role, identifying details will not be considered during our selection process.

    Do you have experience in administration and record keeping, and want to be part of a friendly team who make money for a worthwhile cause?, To be successful in this role you should have:
  • Experience working in a target-driven retail environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • IT literate and experienced in use of on-line marketplaces

  • A good standard of numeracy and English

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personable and able to relate to volunteers

  • A flexible and positive attitude
