Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month FTC.

This role is supporting the NGED (National Grid Electricity Distribution) recruiters who are part of the wider People and Culture team. The team provides all the permanent recruitment support to National Grid Electricity Distribution throughout the UK.

The Recruitment Operations are a team of five led by the Operations Leader, supports the wider Recruitment Team with administration.

The purpose of the coordinator role is to provide ongoing and dynamic support to the NGED Recruitment team, this includes scheduling interviews, creating interview materials, and supporting hiring managers.,

  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders including recruitment partners, Hiring Managers and candidates to organise interviews at staff and managerial levels.

  • Create interview packs, schedules, confirmation emails and calendar invitations for Hiring Managers

  • Help prepare candidates for interview by providing timely info, documents and instruction as well as following up with them before their interview to add value to the candidate experience.

  • Schedule Interviews through the ATS and confirming scheduled with interview panels and recruitment partner.

  • Daily interaction with hiring mangers including scheduling items into their diaries, requiring excellent attention to detail and a "right first time" mindset

  • Use initiative to problem solve and be agile with business change including availability, expectations, and processes.

  • Assist with the creation of processes and SOPs to help shape and influence the processes used and the varying levels of support offered by the team.

  • Attend meeting, update the team on current capacity levels, work to date and process improvements.

  • Be aware of, starting conversations about and always ensuring compliance with GDPR legislation.

  • Use the ATS system to process candidates through the recruitment journey including interview scheduling, regretting, and general system admin.


  • New Talent Admin (future requirement)

  • Facilitate and manage candidate attendance to assessment centres across the UK.

  • Manage daily tasks using excel spreadsheets.

  • Book rooms for assessment centre/hospitality requests/car parking

    Attention to detail and organisation skills.

  • Understanding the importance, the role has around data management.

  • Proficient customer service and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience working within a large corporation and using an ATS, or similar HR system is beneficial.

    A competitive salary of £31,000 - £34,000 per annum dependent on capability and experience.
