Full Job Description

The imaging department provides clinical placements for student Radiographers & Radiographer apprentices from Exeter & Plymouth Universities and is a training site for Radiologists. We also have Assistant Practitioners, Advanced Practitioners (including Reporting Radiographers), and Consultant Radiographers in post and are committed to developing the knowledge and skills of our radiographic workforce.

You will be a valuable member of the team in the provision of a quality led and timely Imaging service. We actively support and encourage Radiographers in their career development and are committed to providing increased opportunities to widen specialist skills, extend roles and deliver advanced practice. Over the recent years, 15 of our radiographers have progressed from B5 to 6 or B6 to 7.

There is an active CPD and audit calendar within the department with involvement from all staff groups.

The Clinical Imaging Service is county wide offering patient's high quality diagnostics in their local community hospital or specialist services at the Royal Cornwall, St Michaels and West Cornwall Hospitals.

The diagnostic Imaging department continues to maintain accreditation through the Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI) and has been inspected and rated by the Care Quality Commission as 'Outstanding', - the highest possible rating.
