Full Job Description

Humberside Police are looking for a PVP Support Officer to provide clerical and administrative support to Protecting Vulnerable People teams. PVP includes Domestic Abuse, MOSOVO, Vulnerability Hub and Child Sexual Exploitation Teams.,

  • Responsible for ensuring that policing systems (Connect, Compact etc) accurately reflect those children at risk of CSE, highlighting the risks posed, actions to safeguard and actions to prevent offending.

  • Support officers within the CSE team with administrative tasks to assist investigations and ensure all available internal and external intelligence is gathered in relation to potential victims and perpetrators.

  • Maintain accurate records of all CSE intelligence and investigations managed within the team to enable accurate performance data and research to be conducted.

  • The production of comprehensive, accurate and timely Court, Case Conference, MACE and MAPPA reports

  • The accurate input and interrogation of data which allows interrogation to be done in the most efficient and effective manner.

  • Establishing and maintaining good communications and relationships with internal and external partners.

  • The role works in an area of police business where the post holder will read and hear about serious sexual offences often against vulnerable people.

  • Post holders may be required to attend a welfare/counselling appointment on an annual basis.

    The successful candidate must have previous experience of working in a highly confidential role and be able to use initiative and discretion to filter enquiries directed towards the PVP allowing officer to maximise their efficiency.,
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Business Administration related field.

  • Knowledge of the Case Conference process and in-depth knowledge required to produce comprehensive Case Conference Reports

  • Substantial clerical experience.

  • Experience of working in a secure/confidential environment.

  • Ability to collate and analyse and evaluate information to reach well-reasoned conclusions.

  • Possesses an understanding of when to refer matters to a senior officer
