Full Job Description
We are looking for an additional member to join Tomrods busy Purchasing Team to assist in the continued growth and success of the business. Your responsibilities would include:
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Sending out enquiries
- Raising purchase orders
- Communicating with suppliers, hauliers
- Working closely with other departments
- Booking in loads
- Monitoring supplier performance
- Receipting loads onto the system
- Buying consumables
- Be methodical and thorough in your approach to working
- Have excellent attention to details
- Be a confident communicator
- Be motivated to progress career and training
- Be a strong team player who works well on their own initiative
- Have strong IT skills
You could enjoy an excellent career within our friendly and professional Team with the opportunity to develop your skills through in-house development and external training.
Although previous experience would be an advantage, it is not essential. Full purchasing and product training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The business has recently made the transition to become an Employee Owned Trust, operating with the long term interests of our people both at heart and in mind. Our well organised 9-acre site incorporates an extensive steel stock with various value-adding processing facilities within our 95,000sq. ft of warehousing. We excel in customer service, delivering daily across the region and nationally using our own fleet of modern HGV's.

£24,000 - £28,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time
