Full Job Description

You'll be working in a busy development delivery team, responsible for project management of a variety of new developments from RIBA stage 4 onwards. We have schemes on site across the region, including Section 106, Partnership, Package Deal and Land Led schemes. There's a healthy pipeline with delivery of around 2000 homes forecast over the next 3 years.

The opportunity will include:

  • Ownership of a portfolio of development projects ensuring delivery on time, to budget, ensuring quality and safety in line with SNG's Homes and place ambition

  • Working closely with stakeholders, including the new business and sales teams, to ensure delivery of great homes and places and an excellent experience for customers

  • Managing consultants and project teams to deliver successful developments

  • Managing financial appraisals and cashflows for schemes including use of Sequel and ProVal, keeping relevant Management Information up to date

  • Preparing reports detailing progress, highlighting issues and risks and recommending resolutions

    Experience in a similar project management role, particularly management of schemes on-site for a Registered Provider

  • Strong project management and risk management skills, evidencing delivery of quality homes within time and budget

  • A record of successful partnership working, influencing and persuading and the ability to nurture and expand relationships

  • Financially literate, with the ability to interpret financial information in a variety of formats and understand development funding models

  • A good understanding of different contract types, the construction process, planning and regulatory requirements, and commercial practices relevant to delivering new development

  • Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and MS Word. Experience using SDS Sequel would be advantageous

  • Access to a car and full driving licence is required for this role

    This year SNG will deliver 2000 new homes across our three regions, with plans to build over 24,000 new homes over the next 10 years.


  • We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Development Project Manager to join our friendly and enthusiastic delivery team in our South region, on a fixed term basis until July 2025. You'll be based at our office in Basingstoke, combining office and home working, with travel to sites across the region.

    SNG's South region is continuing to grow its development pipeline across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight. We have an exciting range of projects, from joint-ventures with major housebuilders to securing land and building our own house-types that redefine sector standards for space, light, and adaptability.
